October's Share The Plate

The first Sunday of October, UUCHV will “Share the Plate" with Pedals for Progress. For 26 years, P4P has collected usable bicycles and distributed them in 38 developing nations, providing the populace with cheap, non-polluting transportation to get to jobs, markets, customers, and schools. The remaining Sunday's, UUCHV will Share the Plate with the Bridge Fund of Westchester. The mission of The Bridge Fund is to prevent homelessness for vulnerable, working poor individuals and families who are threatened with the loss of their housing, but often do not qualify for emergency government assistance.
